This track is why Eminem should get back to rapping on other people's tracks. He owned Jay-Z on 'Renegade', and on this (kinda forgettable) Drake track he shows his skills over Kanye and Lil Wayne.

Eminem - 3am
I have mixed feelings about this one. Some cool things but his tone is a bit grating. It's better with the video than without I think.

The makings of a classic
So apparently Mr Slim Shady has been recording since he stepped out of the public eye in 2005. He's got more than 300 songs, all ready for Relapse, which will be released in March (if Shady/Aftermath ever release any music ever)
Anyway, read this excellent profile from The Independent about Eminem and what sounds like one of the albums of 2009.

Eminem - I'm Having a Relapse
Of his new album Relapse. I'm not sure how I feel about this one. It might as well be an Eminem Show era song.

Mixtape Monday - Black Milk
Black Milk is a producer/rapper from the D who isn't Eminem or D12. His mixtape Pressure was released last year to promote his album Popular Demand. He's very much in the school of J Dilla, Madlib and those sorts of guys. The mixtape has stuff with Dilla, Slum Village and one of my favourites on the mixtape is with Mr Porter (he just keeps popping up). He also produced a song on Pharoahe Monch's last album called Let's Go.
Check out Do Ya Thing (which sounds like some hip hop Dr Who theme song), Pressure and Keep It Live (with Mr Porter). Give it a go and if you like it check out his album.
